*Braden at camp
* In the Ossuary

*Before going into the Silver Mine

*Prague
Well, we have another vacation behind us. Last week we drove to the Czech Republic. Braden spent the week at a Czech hockey camp and Otis and I spent the time sight seeing. Ciarra is in the states so she couldn't join us and Camden went to spend the week with a friend. Prague is beautiful. We spent two days touring the city.

*Suzanne on the Charles Bridge in Prague

We also visited the Karlstejn Castle and had a wine tasting on one of our days. Friday we went to Kutna Hora to a silver mine and an Ossuary. I have never seen anything like it. It is a church decorated with the bones of 40,000 people who died during the 30 year war, the Husite wars as well as the bubonic plague. Braden had a great time at camp and made many new friends. He is already talking about going back next year.

What a great weekend we had! We went to Strasbourg to see the start of the Tour de France. After years of watching it on TV, it was fun to see it in person. On Saturday we watched the Prologue and Sunday we watched the start. We battled the heat and the crowds but it was worth it. We had to arrive three or four hours early each day to make sure we had a good viewing point. Saturday night we watched France beat Brazil in the World Cup from the comfort of our hotel room. When the game ended around 11:00pm horns started honking and people filled the streets singing. This went on until about 2:00AM (either everyone finally went home or I just fell asleep from exhaustion at that time!!!)
